Why I Started an Autism Awareness Collection — This One's Personal

I'll be straight with you — this collection isn't just about apparel. It's personal.

My grandson has autism. And if you've ever loved someone on the spectrum, you know it changes the way you see the world. You learn patience you didn't know you had. You celebrate victories that others might overlook. You fight harder than you ever thought you would — and you'd do it all over again without hesitation.

Awareness Is Just the Beginning

April is Autism Awareness Month, but for families like mine, every single day is autism awareness day. It's in the routines we build, the environments we create, and the way we show up for the people we love.

According to the CDC, 1 in 36 children in the United States is diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). That's millions of families navigating a world that isn't always built for their kids — but fighting every day to make it better.

Why Apparel? Why Now?

At cdap.store, we've always believed that what you wear tells a story. It's a statement. A conversation starter. A declaration of what you stand for.

So when I thought about how to honor my grandson and the millions of kids and adults living with autism, putting it on a shirt felt right. Bold. Visible. Unapologetic.

Our Autism Awareness Collection features designs that celebrate neurodiversity — not just tolerate it. Because there's a difference between awareness and acceptance, and we're going for acceptance.

What You're Supporting

Every purchase from our Autism Awareness Collection is a vote for a more inclusive world. It's a way to spark a conversation, show solidarity, and remind every person on the spectrum — and every family standing beside them — that they are seen, valued, and celebrated.

To My Grandson

This one's for you, buddy. You've taught me more about strength, love, and seeing the world differently than anything else in my life. Keep being exactly who you are — the world needs it.

Our Mission

At cdap.store, we don't just make apparel — we make statements.

We started our Autism Awareness Collection because it's personal. Our grandson has autism, and like millions of families across the country, we know what it means to fight for visibility, acceptance, and inclusion every single day.

We believe what you wear is a declaration of what you stand for. Every hoodie, tee, and hat in this collection is designed to spark conversations, celebrate neurodiversity, and remind the world that every mind matters.

A portion of every purchase goes toward making that world a little more inclusive — one thread at a time.

This one's for you, buddy. 💙
